I love nature, particulalry animals. After a ridiculously long time doing who knows what with my spare time, I became a wildlife artist in 2019. Which handily gave me something to do on the weekends of 2020 and 2021 (and 2022 because hey, who can afford to go out any more).

It's still very much a part-time thing. In my day job I work for an amazing conservation charity so a big chunk of my earnings is in the form of inspiration and a feeling of making things better.

Back to that inspiration bit. While drawing I'm often wondering what this particular, fox, hare, mouse, stoat, pigeon is thinking about. Some are fairly obvious (look out for the very pleased otter), others inscrutable (is that fox in the snow surveying his territory, or lost?). I think that comes through in the work and makes them all different. They are more than a collection of illustrations, they're a menagerie of characters. So if you decide to buy one, please give it a name and maybe talk to it now and then.
